So...can you say HOLIDAY!!!!

We recently spent 2 blissful weeks away on holiday.
It was filled with all the best things; friends, family, good food, junk food, sun, sand, water and ice cream; busy days, lazy days and just plain summer holidays.
We are very blessed!

Making new friends
Swimming and some very unfortunate baby frog genocide
Time with family
Noni's and ice creams - some of our very favourite things!
Running from waves
My sweet girl
Exploring the wildlife
Friends
 Us

 Hidden crocodiles
 Just a few weaver's nests
 Crocodile tears and Milkshakes!

The sea
 And the sea
 Swimming
 Kicking waves
Body Surfing
 And the sea
The sand
 Swimming
 And back home again...
 But we'll be back...one day!!!

So...now we're big enough

To go trick & treating
To climb
To bath with the big kids

And the parentals were finally big enough to get new floors!
Before - yucky old carpets

After - all new!

And we are off on holiday - WOOHOO!!!

So...it's ridiculous really...

...how fast this one is growing.
Not one but 2 teeth this week, the first popped on Tuesday!
So we've been feeling a bit sorry for ourself, luckily a cat can always make a person smile...that's why we love them!

So...Cloud Dough

Before we start just a quick snap of my Bear looking after his sleeping princess :)

Right, now back to business.  In the theme of sensory play I decided to try a recipe I found for Cloud Dough (also know as moon sand)

The ingredients are simple, all you need is 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of baby oil
Pour into a tub & mix well (you can even get your children involved int he mixing if they aren't like my Bear)
Then give them some paper cups, silicone muffin/cupcake moulds etc and watch the fun.
It has the loveliest texture, super soft but also holds it's shape so nicely.
Sadly Bear did not take to it that well, he would not put his hands in it...just touch with the fingertips briefly before washing off the hands in the pool and we had a few mild meltdowns before we even got that far.  He did however use a cup to scoop some up and try make a castle...so I have hope yet!
Evie however LOVED it and also enjoyed scattering it everywhere so the paving looked like a freak snow storm had passed our way :D
