19/52 - Leggings

Since he was born we've been struggling keeping long pants/trousers on this child.  He crawled out of trousers, up into the body of babygrows and now often ends up walking about with his pants around his ankles because his waist is so skinny.  While I have good intentions about altering the elastic in all the trousers which fitted my other two babies no problems, I just never get around to it...and suddenly I had an idea...his sisters old gender neutral tights would work perfectly, so I just snipped the toes off and voila, warm legs...just in time for the start of winter tomorrow!

So...Family Photos

Last year we were very kindly gifted a family photo shoot for our wedding anniversary.
Due to my fantastic organisational skills it eventually only took me about half a year to finally arrange it :)

So a couple weekends ago as the weather took a chilly turn and had me frantically scrabbling through our winter wardrobes for appropriate clothing, we met up with the lovely Fiona from over at Remember When We Were Young to take a walk around our local botanical gardens.

She did an outstanding job, getting my children to even glance in the direction of a camera is a challenge these days, yet she captured so many wonderful images that it is going to be very hard for us to decide which pictures to print and put up on our walls.
Thank you so much Fiona!

And here are just a few of our photos

So...May Day

No not the call for help, the actual day :)

The winds of change are blowing, so after some cheese muffins it really was high time to take the scissors to my little big girl for her first haircut.
Although it was sad to say goodbye to her original baby curls, it was time to cut off the thin scraggly ends and we're hoping it will also make the brushing so much easier now the tangly bits are gone.

I think she looks beautiful :)

Before
 After
At first she wouldn't stop munching for a photo
 But after some attitude
 Finally a shot
 And just one more
And my little big girl did a portrait of Mom and Dad including our brains (yes, my children draw people with brains) which I love.  Take a guess who is who...I'll give you a clue - only one of us has a beard and it's not me!
