So...milking it!

A few days ago we were fortunate enough to join in with an outing to a local farm that follows organic principles and we had such a lovely time.
We were taught how to make our own ricotta cheese and butter.  Then we all got a chance at milking a cow and collecting some eggs from their hens.
The children had time to play together while we relaxed outside, had a few snacks and just enjoyed the outdoors.
And when we left we made sure to take some of their delicious products home with us.  I'm so please we were able to visit and learn a little more of what it is like to have animals on a farm and how to make some of the products we usually would only buy at a store.  I'm also very excited to have found a local supplier of raw milk!
